2 Hopkins County teens arrested for allegedly stealing iPads
HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. - Two western Kentucky teenagers are in jail after deputies found iPads that had been stolen from a local elementary school.
The Hopkins County Sheriff's Department says it received a complaint on Monday that 30 iPads had been stolen from Earlington Elementary School. Various other items were also reported stolen, along with damage to an iPad charging cart.
Deputies followed a tip that led them to a 17-year-old and a 13-year-old. The teens were arrested after deputies found 29 of the 30 stolen iPads, along with charging cords and other stolen items.
The stolen iPads are valued at $14,500. Deputies are still searching for the last missing iPad.
Both teens were charged with Burglary 3rd Degree.
