2 men arrested in connection with several McCracken County burglaries
MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. - Two men are in jail in connection with several burglaries in McCracken County.
The sheriff's department says 33-year-old Ronnie Ward and 27-year-old Casey Stone were stopped by detectives Thursday afternoon near Kentucky Oaks Mall. A search of the vehicle revealed items related to a burglary investigation, including tools.
Ward and Stone were taken to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department and questioned about several incidents. These include break-ins at three storage facilities in the past year, along with a Pepsi machine at Reidland Ballpark last week.
Detectives arrested both men following the interviews. Ward was charged with three counts of 3rd Degree Burglary and one count of 2nd Degree Criminal Mischief. Stone was charged with one count of 3rd Degree Burglary along with one count of 2nd Degree Criminal Mischief.
The sheriff's department says no property from the reported burglaries has been recovered and the investigation is ongoing. Additional arrests are expected in the case.
