Kentucky teen killed when crossing street

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - A 13-year-old Kentucky girl was killed
when she was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street.
Investigators in Fleming County say Amber Choate was killed
along Highway 32 on Wednesday morning.
WKYT-TV reported that the girl had spent the night with her
grandmother and was returning home to get ready for school.
Kentucky State Police say they do not think drugs or alcohol
were involved in the accident.
