The Pennyrile Parkway from mile maker 23 to 30 is back open this morning.

Keith Todd with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says residual smoke is no longer a hazard to traffic passing through the area.

He does ask that drivers continue to use caution as firefighters are still working to make sure the fire is extinguished.

The fire started around 1:00 p.m. Thursday. Firefighters say a tree on some power lines and sparked the fire.
