PADUCAH - The Paducah Symphony Orchestra says the Barbecue on the River board is ending their sponsorship of the "Beer Garden".

The orchestra has managed the garden every year of the festival and says it's one fo their biggest fundraisers. According to a letter sent out to their patrons on Wednesday, the PSO says they did not receive any warning about the cancellation.

Part of that letter reads in quote, "The barbecue board dismissed our participation by letter without explanation, and has ignored our request to meet with us to resolve whatever their concerns may be."

The PSO says they were to pay the board $1,000 plus 10 percent of their net profit.  That was over $3,200 in 2012, but less than $600 in 2013.

The orchestra says the cost of "Porkstock" in 2013 is a major reason their payment to the board dropped. It was rained out in 2012.
