PADUCAH - With every hot meal served, the hearts of the members from Paducah's Walk by Faith Community Church are warmed.

"We do it because we have a heart to help," said church member Gail Massey.

She's one of several volunteers who cook and bring the gospel to our area's homeless.  The church partners with River City Missions and together, on every third Sunday of the month, they serve up a huge portion of prayer and salvation.

"Started bringing them in once a month to feed them dinner and then hopefully feeding their spirits by having a service for them afterwards," Massey said.

Like many volunteer organizations, they need more helping hands.  Pastor Billy Rodgers said the dinner goes beyond just cooking up a hot meal.

"I don't think it's not just about the food, just what we can offer to them but its also the encouragement they need," Rodgers said.

That's why Massey, and others like her, spend one Sunday a month reaching out to people who often go unnoticed.

"We really want to impact our community where we are living," said Massey.

The church is seeking donations.  You can drop them off to the Walk By Faith Community Church at 760 Berger Road, Paducah, KY 42003.
