Comer visits west Kentucky to discuss mosquito problem
TRIGG COUNTY, Ky. - Kentucky Agriculture Commissioner James Comer is visiting west Kentucky on Tuesday to get feedback from officials and residents on the region's mosquito problem.
This past weekend, officials brought in plants to spray around Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley to tackle the infestation. More than 133,000 acres were treated.
Lyon County Judge Executive Wade White posted on Facebook that conditions have improved dramatically.
The town hall meeting with Commissioner Comer and area officials began at 9 a.m. at Renaissance Hall in Trigg County. All are welcome to attend.
