Construction resumes on I-24 in Paducah
PADUCAH, Ky. - After temporarily halting road work while thousands of quilters were in town, construction has resumed on Interstate 24 in Paducah.
Lane closures, reduced speed limits and the doubling of speeding fines have all resumed between mile markers 3 and 9.
The McCracken County Sheriff's Department is asking drivers to remain alert for workers and changing traffic conditions.
Construction work was suspended for more than a week due to the American Quilters Society Annual Quilt Show bringing extra traffic into Paducah. The show ended Saturday.
