Juvenile killed in Calvert City, Kentucky crash identified

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky. - The juvenile who died in a car crash in Calvert City, Kentucky on Thursday has been identified.

Marshall County Corner Mitchell Lee says the victim was 16-year-old Allie Kirtley, of Lyon County.

The crash happened Thursday afternoon on US 62 at Campbell Drive near McDonald's.

Kentucky Transportation Cabinet officials say a commercial vehicle carrying limestone rock collided with Kirtley's vehicle. The crash, which caused limestone to spill across the highway, closed both east and westbound lanes until about 3 p.m. Thursday.

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky. - A juvenile died in a crash that closed a major highway running through Marshall County, Kentucky Thursday.

A captain with the Calvert City Police Department says the juvenile is from Lyon County, Kentucky.

The crash happened on US 62 at Campbell Drive in Calvert City.

Investigators have not released the name of the juvenile.
