Crash sends people to hospital, detours traffic

UPDATED STORY 

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky. — Two people were taken to separate hospitals following a two car fiery crash Saturday morning. 

The Marshall County Sheriff says two cars collided on the Tennessee River Bridge on US 62 around 12:30p.m. Saturday. 

61-year-old John Evans of Gilbertsville, Ky. was travelling eastbound on US 62 when he crossed the center line and hit a second vehicle head on.  

53-year-old Patricia Allie was driving the second vehicle and is from Manhattan, Illinois. 

There were no passengers in either vehicle.

Both drivers were injured in the crash and taken to hospitals.  Evans was airlifted to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tenn. Allie was taken to Western Baptist in Paducah.

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky. — A crash on the Marshall County, Livingston County line detoured traffic and sent people to the hospital. 

The crash happened around 12:30p.m. Saturday involving a truck and another vehicle.  

Investigators aren't releasing details at this time.  WPSD Local 6 has confirmed that one person was taken to a Paducah hospital while the other person was airlifted to a Nashville hospital. 

According to a member of the Marshall County 911 Dispatch Center, the crash occurred near the intersection of US Highway 62 and US Highway 641.
