Tuesday marks the start of Kentucky's Fall Wildfire Hazard Season.

The state's Division of Forestry reports conditions are favorable for outdoor fires to become wildfires.  That means burning is prohibited within 150 feet of any woodland or brushland.

That ban goes from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. October 1 through December 15.

Forestry leaders say more the 99-percent of the 739 wildfires this year were caused by human activity.
