Florida man arrested in Marshall County road rage incident
MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky. - A South Florida man was arrested after he allegedly committed acts of road rage in Marshall County, Kentucky.
The Marshall County Sheriff's Office says 66-year-old George Claypoole, of Palm Springs, Florida, was driving westbound on Interstate 24 on Tuesday. Multiple victims told deputies that Claypoole was driving at a high rate of speed and repeatedly tailgating vehicles.
One victim told police Claypoole tailgated him, then pulled up next to his car. Claypoole allegedly acted as if he was going to throw a bottle at the victim, then hit the victim's car as he nearly lost control of his vehicle.
Deputies say Claypoole lost control of his car and hit an embankment a short time later. Deputies at the scene found a wooden box containing Hydrocodone pills without a prescription.
Claypoole was arrested and charged with Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence, Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree and Prescription Controlled Substance not in Proper Container.
