Gov. Beshear orders flags to half-staff tomorrow in honor of fallen Fort Campbell soldier

FRANKFORT, Ky. - Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear has ordered all flags at state office buildings to half-staff tomorrow to honor a Fort Campbell soldier who died in Afghanistan last week.

The order comes after 26-year-old Sgt. Michael C. Cable, of Philpot, Kentucky, died last Wednesday after his unit was attacked.

Cable was assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 327th Infantry, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

Sgt. Cable's funeral will be held tomorrow at 1 p.m.
