Graves County teen dies after rollover crash
UPDATE (11:30 a.m.) - Graves County Chief Deputy Davant Ramage said the driver turned north onto KY 129 after leaving the Pilot Oak community last night. Ramage said the driver admitted to looking away from the road for "just a minute" and when the driver looked up the car was traveling in the oncoming lane of traffic. Deputies say the driver lost control while trying to change lanes quickly.
Paramedics drove the driver and one 15-year-old passenger to Lourdes hospital. Doctors treated both teens for minor injuries and then released them.
15-year-old Evan Crawford, also a passenger in the car, received medical attention at the scene. Paramedics drove Crawford to the Jackson Purchase Medical Center Emergency Room where he died from his injuries.
GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. - Graves County Sheriff Dewayne Redmon says 15-year-old Evan Crawford of Wingo died after a roll-over crash on KY 129. Crawford was riding in a vehicle driven by a 16-year-old who lost control, then over-corrected around 8:00 last night. The driver and another passenger were treated at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah for their injuries.
