Hopkins County man faces charges for allegedly kidnapping estranged wife
HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. - A Hopkins County, Kentucky man is in jail after police say he kidnapped his estranged wife and later abandoned her car.
The Hopkins County Sheriff's Office says 27-year-old Jarod Bowley kidnapped his wife, Stephanie Bowley, and stole her car last Thursday.
Stephanie Bowley contacted the sheriff's office last Friday from a hospital in Evansville, Indiana. Police say Jarod had dropped her off there after holding her against her will for an unknown amount of time.
The sheriff's office says Jarod Bowley later abandoned Stephanie's car at a farm in Daviess County, Kentucky. Jarod Bowley was found Friday afternoon in White Plains, Kentucky after police received a tip.
Bowley is charged with Kidnapping and Auto Theft. He is in the Hopkins County Jail.
