Husband, wife face several drug charges

CADIZ, Ky. - A husband and wife are in jail after police in Cadiz, Kentucky found several drugs inside a hotel room.

Cadiz Police say the Lyon County Sheriff's Department had an order for evaluation for 22-year-old Brittany Skinner, of Princeton. Police found a vehicle belonging to her and her husband, 34-year-old Scott Skinner, parked at the Broadbent Inn in Cadiz on Tuesday night.

After the couple did not answer the door for police, officers entered the room and found several drugs in plain view. Among the items found were methamphetamine, crack cocaine, Oxycodone tablets, morphine and Xanax tablets. Marijuana and drug paraphernalia were also found inside the room.

Scott and Brittany Skinner are both charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Marijuana.

Both suspects are in the Christian County Jail.
