Jasmine Taylor appears in court Thursday, found competent to stand trial
BREAKING UPDATE (2:58 p.m.) - Jasmine Taylor, the final defendant in the 2010 death of CaSondra Evrard, has been deemed competent to stand trial. A Januray 21 trial date has been set.
PADUCAH, Ky. - The final defendant in the 2010 death of CaSondra Evrard is due back in court Thursday.
Jasmine Taylor will stand before a judge in a competency hearing.
Investigators say the family of Jasmine Taylor orchestrated an attack, believing Evrard had set Taylor up to be raped.
Six other defendants have either pleaded guilty or been convicted in Evrard's death, including Jasmine's mother and father.
Thursday's hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m.
