One indicted on murder charge after deadly shooting in Carlisle County, Kentucky
UPDATE (7:32 p.m.) - 43-year-old Jay Pender of Milburn, Kentucky was indicted on the charge of murder by the Carlisle County Grand Jury, Thursday. That's according to a news release sent to WPSD Local 6 by Kentucky State Police. Pender remains lodged in the Hickman County Jail.
CARLISLE COUNTY, Ky. - Kentucky State Police is investigating a deadly shooting in Carlisle County Friday night.
KSP Trooper Jay Thomas says Carlisle County Deputy Coroner Laura Pender called 911 in reference to a shooting that took place outside of her residence.
Pender explained to the 911 dispatchers her husband, Jay Pender, 43, of Milburn, had been involved in an altercation with her brother, and the altercation ended with shots fired. KSP says 49 year-old Scott Daniel McBride died as a result of the shooting.
KSP is continuing to investigate with assistance from the Graves County coroner and the Carlisle County Sheriffs Office.
At this time, no charges have been filed. An autopsy has been scheduled for Sunday.
