Lane closure, weight and load restrictions return to Cumberland River Bridge
LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Ky. - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will resume a lane, load width and weight restriction on the US 62/US 641 Cumberland River Bridge at Lake City in Livingston County today.
The restrictions will allow for retrofitting of floor beams on the bridge structure. Traffic will be reduced to one lane with a 12-ton load limit and a 10-foot width restriction. An automated signal will control alternating traffic flow around the clock.
KYTC spokesman Keith Todd says the restrictions should remain in place for about a week.
