Lane drifting leads to drug charges
MARSHALL CO, Ky - A man was arrested and charged with drug possession after drifting in lanes on the road.
A Marshall County deputy was behind a vehicle when he noticed the vehicle drifting from one side of the road to the other side, crossing the center line.
After being given consent to search the vehicle, the deputy found two separate packaged items in the driver's side door that appeared to be narcotics.
One of the packages contained two capsules with white residue inside.
The second package was packed in wax paper and had a strong odor of marijuana.
Anson D. Dykes, 25 of Paducah admitted that he had purchased the items and they were 'molly' and 'hash'.
Dykes was arrested and charged with two counts of Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Improper Lane Usage.
