A second person has been arrested in a cocaine investigation lasting more than a week.

The investigation started on July 5th, after police received information that one man was looking to buy powder cocaine to sell to other people.

That morning, an undercover cop sold the cocaine to Darren Hicks, who was arrested shortly after.

Their investigation after that arrest led them to 47-year-old Caryl Sledd of Paducah.  Authorities say Sledd was working in conjunction with Hicks to buy and sell the cocaine.

Sledd was arrested at her home in farley about 10:00 Thursday night.  She faces numerous drug charges, including multiple felony charges for trafficking.
