One World Run: Helping orphans in Kenya

Web Editor - Amanda Roberts

PADUCAH, Ky - Tomorrow, why not go on a run and help the sixth annual project AIDS orphan "One World Run"?

The One World Run takes places all over the world with the idea being anyone can run anywhere in the global event, and Paducah will be hosting their own chapter tomorrow morning.

All the money raised goes to help orphans in Kandaria, Kenya providing kids with food, clothing, mosquito nets, HIV medicine and school fees.

There are currently 30 kids that project AIDS Orphan would like to continue supporting. The kids have seen improvements in their grades after the help and they've responded well.

The even starts tomorrow at 9 a.m. at Bob Noble Park with registration opening up at 8:15 a.m. There is both a 5K and a youth run. It is $35 to participate.
