Local man in jail after weekend stabbing

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky. - A Hardin, Kentucky man is behind bars after a weekend stabbing in Marshall County.

Police say 59-year-old Michael D. Nicholas admitted to stabbing the victim three or four times at the Lakeland Arbor Village apartment complex on Sunday.

Deputies found a knife on the kitchen floor near a pool of blood. The victim had several stab wounds and was taken away in an ambulance. His condition is unknown at this time.

Nicholas was charged with Assault 1st Degree and is in the Marshall County Detention Center.
