Earlier story:

GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. - On Friday, October 11, the Graves County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Lowes area on a report of an assault on a female by Jason Drake, 33 of Cunningham.

Drake’s girlfriend had called a family member and told them Drake had been assaulting her over the past few days and that he was holding her against her will.  The family member then called law enforcement but was unable to give an exact location of Drake, but was reported to have been in a 1979 green and white Ford pickup.

Later in the afternoon, police observed Drake pull into the Lowes Store in the truck.  As the two deputies attempted to stop Drake on Pennebaker Street in Lowes, Drake fled in the vehicle with his girlfriend still in the passenger seat.

The pursuit went from Pennebaker Street to Moores Street where Drake cut across a field.  The pursuit continued through the field until Drake’s truck became stuck in a thicket near the railroad tracks.  Drake abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot before deputies could locate the truck in the thicket.  A search of the area was conducted by the Sheriff’s Office, the Kentucky State Police and the Mayfield Police Department but Drake was not located.

Drake is currently wanted by the Sheriff’s Office for charges of unlawful imprisonment 1st degree, fleeing and evading 1st degree as well as several drug related charges.  Drake is described as a white male, 5’8”, 135 pounds with blues eyes and dark hair.

He was last seen in the area of Lowes Road and the railroad tracks just north of the Lowes Community.  Anyone who has info on Drake’s location is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office or their local law enforcement agency.  Drake is to be considered dangerous and it is unknown if he is armed.

The female victim in this case was transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center for multiple injuries.
