MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky. - Investigators with the Sheriff's Department say it was one man's kindness that allowed a recent crime to be committed. Earlier this summer, a local father met a homeless and handicapped man.  He then invited him to move in with his family.

Danny Lemaster, 41, is now charged with sexually abusing that man's 17-year-old daughter.

"She was asleep and she awoke to him touching her and she pushed him away and that's what stopped the incident," Detective Matt Hilbrecht said.

The victim says she was sexually abused back on July 5 but did not come forward until recently when Danny Lemaster moved into a hotel. She told investigators she was terrified of how her father would react.

"The victim was concerned her father might actually kill him," Hilbrecht remembered.

Instead, that father contacted authorities. Lemaster, if convicted, could spend the next 1-5 years behind bars. He is due in court next week.
