Manufacturer to open facility, create 283 jobs in Hopkinsville
HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. - A company that produces seamless steel tubes for the energy industry plans to create up to 283 jobs in Hopkinsville.
The new jobs are part of a $102 million investment by PTC Seamless Tube Corp. The company will establish a manufacturing facility in the same area where its parent company formerly operated a facility.
Gov. Steve Beshear's office says PTC will expand the parent company's former facility to approximately 256,000 square feet.
The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority helped convince PTC to return to Hopkinsville by providing up to $12 million in tax incentives.
