MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky. - The Marshall County Fiscal Court has decided that animal control officers in the county will no longer pick up cats from residences or businesses.

They held a special court session to discuss the Marshall County Animal Shelter Ordinance on December 2nd. They made the decision not to pick up cats (stray or otherwise) from businesses and homes effective immediately.

Marshall County Officials want to remind you that if you have a feline to surrender, you may take it to the shelter directly for a $20 fee per animal. The Marshall County Animal Shelter is located at 839 Benton-Briensburg Road.
