Mid-Continent University's head basketball coach has resigned.

School spokesperson Bill Bartleman says Howard Dillard resigned on September 30, only 11 days after being named head coach.

The athletic director met with students in the program to assure them that the program is solid and that the search for a new coach is underway.

The university is interviewing applicants and expects to have an official announcement later this week.
