More Turkeys, Please! A Local Food Shelter Needs Your Help
PADUCAH, Ky. - TGIFriday's donated $242 to Martha's Vineyard today to help buy food for this year's Thanksgiving dinner.
The money will be spent buying all the essentials for a well-balanced meal.
Martha Bell expects over 5,000 people to come to her table this year, and while the money was appreciated it won't help feed all those needy families.
"There are so many out of work that need our help," says Bell. "We have canned goods. We have bread for stuffing and corn on the cob and gravy. We need turkey's."
It takes 100 turkeys to feed all her guests, and while she has a few dozen already the clock is ticking to dinner time.
"Thanks giving is only 3 weeks away and that will go fast. I know the good lord will provide for us, but as the days slip away you can't help but get anxious." says Bell.
If you would like to donate to Martha's Vinyard, you are asked to drop donations off at her new location, 900 N 32nd street in Paducah.
