MURRAY, Ky. - It's fun, food and fireworks time in Murray, Kentucky. This year's Freedom Fest kicks off today.

The festival kicks off Friday at 5 p.m. with a street fair full of vendors and a free outdoor concert.

Friday night's concert features Matty McRee and Clarence Dobbins.

The Parker Ford Street Fair opens at 5:45 p.m., then the Red, White and Blue Block Party lasts from 6-10:30 with Matty McRee performing at 6 p.m. Clarence Dobbins hits the main stage at 8:30.

Meanwhile, people who have business at the Calloway County Courthouse should expect to encounter limited access and parking. The Freedom Fest Committee has blocked streets on the east, west and south sides of the courthouse for the event, but the courthouse will be open for business on Friday. Limited parking is still available on the north side of the building.
