Murray named America's friendliest small town

Murray, Kentucky has been named the friendliest small town in America, according to Rand McNally.

The award comes from the organization's "Best of the Road" contest.

When Murray became one of the finalists, USA Today and Rand McNally sent out a team of travelers to go to each town and then decide the winners.
    
The award brings with it added visibility within Rand McNally publications and a feature on the Travel Channel.
