Paducah Public School System looking to raise tax rates
PADUCAH, Ky. - The Paducah Public School System wants to raise its tax rate.
According to the Paducah Sun, Superintendent Randy Green says he's looking for an increase of about 1.8 cents. That would bring the total to 76.5 cents per $100 of property.
Green told the paper that statewide budget cuts are the reason behind the needed rise in rates.
McCracken County Schools are expected to keep the same rate.
