MURRAY, Ky. - New information surfaced Monday about an alleged incident involving a gun at Murray State University.

The Murray State Police Department says investigators know who the alleged culprits are.  Police haven't released the identities.

On April 30, a student reported being approached by four unknown men outside Regents College.  The student also reported that one of the men pointed a pistol at him before running away.

In addition to the identities of the men, Murray State Police say the men knew the victim.

The pistol was, in fact, a broken BB pistol.  The man wielding the BB pistol told investigators he tried to sell it to the victim.  Investigators say they recovered the pistol.

No word on whether there are pending charges or possible arrests.
