FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky high school students are being asked to enter a video contest as part of efforts to educate the public about the dangers of prescription drug addiction.

The students produce a 30-second video about the effects of drug abuse and submit them by Dec. 2. For more on the contest, including rules and submission guidelines, click here.

Attorney General Jack Conway conducts the contest along with the Kentucky Office of Drug Control Policy, the Kentucky Pharmacists Association, the National Association of Drug Diversion Investigators, Operation UNITE and others.

Conway says prescription drug abuse is among the most serious threats for young people.

The contest winner will receive an Apple iPad, with a $100 Amazon gift card for the runner-up.
