PADUCAH - Senator Mitch McConnell tells Local 6, a decision about the future of the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant should happen before the end of the year.

The timing couldn't be better for two businessmen who want to use the facility to continue to enrich uranium.

Steve Laflin is the President and CEO of International Isotopes.  He's partnering with Jim Thomas' company, Advanced Process Technology, to propose keeping the uranium and the jobs in Paducah.

Laflin and several investors visted the site and are hopeful a deal with the Department of Energy will work out.
