MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. - The F.A.A. sequester may be over, but air traffic control towers could still be closed.

That was the message Tuesday night from Barkley Regional Airport manager Richard Roof at the Paducah City Commission meeting.
Roof says the the legislation passed by congress doesn't mandate that towers stay open.

At this time, Roof says he doesn't know if Barkley's tower and its six employees will be operating past June 15.

Roof adds that he is in contact with Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood, and hopes LaHood will keep the towers open.
