PADUCAH, Ky. - A website often used for prostitution has led to an arrest in Metropolis, Illinois.

Investigators from the McCracken County, Kentucky Sheriff's Department saw an ad on the website for a woman working in the area.  Undercover detectives contacted her and arranged a meeting at a Paducah hotel.

On the day of the meeting, detectives noticed a vehicle pulling into the parking lot and circling the building.  One of the occupants matched the description of the woman.

That's when investigators say the woman called the undercover detective and said she was leaving the area because she had seen law enforcement nearby.

The vehicle was later located at a Metropolis, Illinois hotel.  Authorities there arrested the two people inside, Robert Hamel and Tanisha Stevens.  After their arrest, the two were lodged in the Massac County, Illinois Jail.

The investigation continues.
