MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. - Two women face drug charges in McCracken County, Kentucky.

Sheriff's deputies say they arrested 50-year-old Sheree Gilbert of Metropolis, Illinois and Stephanie Waddell of Paducah, Kentucky.

In early August 2013, deputies stopped Gilbert and charged her with Driving Under the Influence.  While searching her vehicle, deputies say they found cocaine, along with other controlled substances and drug paraphernalia.  Due to a medical condition, deputies released Gilbert to a local hospital for treatment.

A month later, a grand jury indicted Gilbert and deputies found and arrested her.

During that arrest, they learned Waddell attempted to buy drugs from Gilbert.  Deputies set up a sting.  When she arrived to buy the drugs, deputies arrested her.

Grand jurors indicted Gilbert on multiple charges including Trafficking Cocaine, Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st Degree, Trafficking Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, Illegal Possession of a Legend Drug,  Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Driving Under the Influence.

Waddell faces Conspiracy to Possess Controlled Substance 1st and 3rd Degree.

After their arrests, deputies took them to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
