United Way of Paducah-McCracken Co. receives large donation

PADUCAH -- A local United Way received a large donation today. One that will help thousands of people in the Paducah-McCracken County area live better lives.

Computer Services, Inc., or CSI, presented the United Way with a chck totally more than $126,000. CSI is based in Paducah and is one of the nation's largest providers of technical support for banks and other financial institutions.

Today's party focused on the money raised throughout the year by employees through pay roll deduction and corporate matching.

"It speaks to their leadership all the way down to the individidual employees, the generosity that they have year after year coming back. They see a need and they meet it," United Way representative Monique Zuber said.

"We are so proud of our employees in what they've been able to give back to impact the lives of people in Paducah and McCracken County," said CIS CEO Steve Powless.

CSI is also celebrating a major accomplishment today. The company and its employees have raised and donated more than a million dollars to the United Way of Paducah-McCracken County over the last 13 years.
