CADIZ, Ky. - A woman who allegedly tried to stay out of jail by lying about her identity, ended up behind bars anyway.

Police officers in Cadiz, Kentucky arrested Angela M. Lewis Tuesday.

Officers say they went to a home on Cunningham Avenue to serve and Emergency Protective Order.  That's where they found Lewis.  She was apparently living in the home as a guest.

When officers asked her name, they say she gave her sister's name, but couldn't produce any identification proving that to be the case.  That's when officers recognized her from a past encounter.

Officers checked into her record and that's when they found she had several warrants out for her arrest, one of which was an out-of-county warrant.

The Hopkins County warrant charges Lewis with theft by deception under $500.  The Trigg County warrant charged her with failure to appear in court.

Officers took her to the Christian County Jail after her arrest.
