OEA completes McCracken superintendent investigation
PADUCAH, Ky -- The Office of Education Accountability (OEA) has completed an investigation of the alleged wrongdoing by McCracken County Superintendent Nancy Waldrop.
Waldrop had been accused of various instances in which she did not follow protocol in hiring and firing staff members and teachers, did not properly fund kindergarten aides, and required special education teachers to work over their allowed caseloads.
After the investigation, Superintendent Waldrop will complete training hours as to the proper protocol in hiring and rejecting personnel and potential candidates.
She will also be required to provide kindergarten aides required as well as proper allocation of funds to the schools in the district with kindergarten classes by October 31st, 2013.
