MARION, Ill.-- On May 30, 2012, following a narcotics investigation, officers with the Southern Illinois Enforcement Group arrested Roger E. Pontious (31, of Carbondale) in Marion. Pontious was arrested after he was found to be in possession of more than 370 grams of "bath salts" and more than 50 grams of psilocybin mushrooms. Pontious is charged with Possession of a controlled Substance and Possession of a Controlled Substance With Intent to Deliver. He is now in the Williamson County Jail.
