FRANKFORT, Ky. - Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear announced nearly $20,000 in grants for two law enforcement agencies in the Local 6 area.

The money comes as part of a series of grants across Kentucky totaling more than $143,000.

The Graves County Fiscal Court will receive $11,500 for patrol rifles and ammunition, while the City of Madisonville will get $8,250 for body armor.

Grant money for law enforcement agencies comes from the sales of confiscated weapons by the Kentucky Office of Homeland Security.
