2 local schools recognized for working conditions
FRANKFORT, Ky. - Two schools from the Local 6 area were among ten public schools in Kentucky to be recognized for their working conditions.
Cuba Elementary School in Graves County and Murray High School were among the schools selected for recognition. The schools were selected based on data from the Teaching, Educating, Leading and Learning (TELL) Kentucky Survey, which was given to all public school teachers and principals earlier this year.
The survey included information on teaching conditions, school safety and student achievement on campus. The winning schools will be used as examples for other schools in Kentucky.
In addition to two winning schools in the Local 6 area, Reidland Middle School in McCracken County was chosen as one of 50 honorable mentions.
