2 teens charged in Lone Oak gas station burglary
MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. - Two 13-year-old boys face burglary charges after a break-in at a Lone Oak gas station early Monday morning.
The McCracken County Sheriff's Department says the incident took place around 4:35 a.m. Monday. Deputies say security footage shows one male teen throwing a rock through the door of the Superway on Lone Oak Road. A second male teen then entered the store and took cigarettes and sodas before leaving.
The teens were later found walking in the 5300 block of Clinton Road, where they admitted to breaking into the convenience store. Items from the store were also found.
Both teens were charged with 3rd Degree Burglary and released to the custody of their parents.
