I work at a prison, I totally agree what is wrong with this picture? He is only getting 10yrs, we have guys in here that are getting 60yrs for traffic of drugs and has to serve their whole sentence. This fellow will be out on the 85% rule in in about 2 to 3yrs. Come on people we have to make a stand. Even if he didnt do it then why take the blame cause i hate to say it prison is no place to be and a experience i wouldnt want to achieve.

I understand what everyone thinks when they read or watch the news and see "Man kills baby." You automatically believe whatever the news says. If we're all supposed to be "good Christians" shouldn't we let God do the judging?

baby had been beaten before Philip even entered the picture. He received a broken arm when Philip wasn't even around, the mother said he "fell off the bed", the coroner said the break was more consistant with a blow than a fall. There was no evidence that Philip did this, only what the police coerced him into saying. If anyone is a bad person here, it's that baby's mother, but she's not going to pay for anything that she did to him, whether it be abusing him or killing him.

You guys are only hearing what the news is saying. None of you know the whole story. Were any of you at the trial? Did any of you know this man personally? I didn't think so. Remember that there are 2 sides to every story. I WAS at the trial, there was an expert witness there that testified FOR him saying they believe he was coerced into saying what he did. The police badgered him and asked him over and over, until he was too confused and tired to argue. There was significant evidence that the b

That is just WRONG!! He would have gotten more time in jail for drugs than he did for murder! What happened to "an eye for an eye..." ? I hope the other prisoners give him the same treatment that this monster gave that poor baby.

It says a lot about our society when a man gets LESS time for killing a defenseless baby than he would for being cruel to animals.

What is truly the unjustice of it all is that now convicted criminals only actually serve 20% of their sentence, so this animal will be out in 2 years. Most courts also give them credit for any time served at sentencing so figure that.... he could be out in just months. This is insane!!!!

I can't believe this baby killer only got 10 years. Our criminal justice system is in serious need of reform. I can't believe that animal may be out in 10 years or less. I wonder if that judge would have only sentenced him to 10 years if it had been HIS child? I agree with some of the other writers....he should receive a life sentence or death.

I agree with Ron we should step up as Christians. An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.Put him in a nonpadded cell with a recording of that precious baby crying 24 hours around the clock, and feed him baby food with the exact same bottle he fed Ethan with.

It would appear that whatever he did to the baby he should have done to him. Baby killers aren't popular in prison. He'll find that out.
