Early morning earthquake shakes west Tennessee

A 3.3 earthquake with an epicenter near Dyersburg occurred around 12:30 A.M.

DYERSBURG, TN - A small earthquake has shaken part of west Tennessee.

The U.S. Geological surveys initial report said a quake with a magnitude of 3.3 shook the area around Dyersburg early Friday.

The report said the epicenter was three miles north of Dyersburg and the time it occurred was 12:39 A.M.

A dispatcher with the Dyersburg City Police said the dispatch center received several calls from city residents who asked if there had been a quake. There were no immediate reports of damage.
