GRAND RIVERS, KY - Kentucky State Police along with the Livingston County Sheriff's Department, following up on a drug investigation, discovered a moonshine still in operation at a residence in Grand Rivers, Kentucky.
Kentucky State Police executed a search warrant at the residence of Kyle Beverly, 730 Country Road, Grand Rivers. A news release says they found 13.5 oz of marijuana, scales, money, paraphernalia, and items that were being used to grow marijuana were found in the basement. Additionally, an operational moonshine still was found.
The news release also states that several firearms were located inside the residence and seized.
Kyle Beverly was charged with: Apparatus for unlawful manufacturing an alcoholic beverage, trafficking marijuana over 5 pounds, firearm enhanced, possession of a controlled substance 2nd degree 1st offense, possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree, 1st offense and prescription drug in improper container, 1st offense.
The investigation is continuing by Kentucky State Police Trooper Thomas Williams.

i agree and disagree..people are going to buy it wether one person sells it to them or not..if he was selling it and he didnt sell it so someone,they would have gotten it from someone else..thats how addicts do it..come one people..its not like he was a out raping and actually murdering people..they are doing it to themselves.like my coisin was run over with a car on halloween and they let the guy go free after questioning and there was a whole block of witnesses..great job police dept.

The sad thing about this is that Kyle will probably receive a tougher sentence than the teacher who has been featured in the local news who has been arrested for an EXTREME case of child pornography! Kyle remember that the Lord knows your heart and you are accountable only to him!

I was unaware that a still was illegal. I was always told by my trooper buddies that you could produce as much alcohol as you wanted as long as it was for personal use and you never sold more than 5 gallons a year. I'm guessing they have proof that he was selling it.

Well as a former street pharmicist, I can understand where he comes from. I have spent my time behind bars and have learned a lesson. I have been clean and straight for 5 years and have not intention of going back to the life of crime. Sometimes it takes a really dark day to see the light. Althought I would have to say at least it was only pot and some booze. At least it wasnt a meth factory. Marijuana is the ONLY all natural drug. It is grown from the ground and not made in a jar.

He may not be a violent person, but he is a bad person. He is only sorry that he got caught. He was not just a user, he was a dealer. If you use drugs in your own home, it's not right, but that's your business. When you sell drugs to others that's when you are polluting the population and endangering others and you should go to jail. He should serve the full penalty for the crimes he has done with no leniency. His father should serve time for allowing it to happen in his home, if not involved.

I am not going to debate the legalities of Cannabis and Moonshine. I will say many of you need to check your facts. Drug Dealing is a job (watch any corner in a drug area 9-5). As far as the economy, just like the mob built Vegas with prohibition money, The Mexican Cartels and The Taliban have helped keep the world banking system solvent due to the War on Drugs The only real drain on the economy is the incarceration of non-violent drug offenders with a record that goes to each job interview.

Don't be so quick to let him off the hook. Im glad he says he's sorry, but he made his bed on this one. After he's paid his debt to society will he still be willing to do what's right. He could have stopped long before he got caught.Why didn't you stop Kyle? You knew it was wrong, but you did it anyway. If this angers you its probably because you are as lazy and mixed up as kyle. Drug dealers are just lazy that the don't want to get a real education or a real job. Stop being a drain on society!
