East Calloway students donate to Haiti charities

CALLOWAY COUNTY, KY - Some Calloway County students are doing their part to help those suffering in Haiti.

East Calloway Elementary students made two donations to the American Red Cross and the the Rotary Club's "Shelterbox" charity.  Both charities benefit Haitian earthquake survivors.  Students from each of East Calloway's homerooms met with representatives from Rotary and the Red Cross.  They presented the organizations with the donations of $150 each.

The cash and coins were collected by students during the past week.
