Former judge re-running for election

Web Editor - Ethan Fife

GRAVES COUNTY, KY - An ex-district judge of Graves County is seeking the seat once again.

Royce Buck originally left office at the end of 2002. Since then, Buck says many people have asked him about whether he would consider running again.

Buck has some 17 years of experience as the district judge in Graves County. Since leaving that job, Buck has been practicing law for the last seven years.

Buck says he looks forward to meeting past supporters as well as gaining new friendships with new supporters. Anyone wanting to help with the campaign is encouraged to contact Buck's office at 234 N. 6th Street in Mayfield.

Judges seem to have little problem sentencing people to various levels of civil death all the time. A felony, domestic violence, etc and someone cannot vote or own firearms afterwards, and that is ok in many cases,,, but DUI (an act of Public violence), and any crimes committed while in an Official position, especially under color-of-law,,, should rise to the same level, at least.

I wouldnt just be concerned about the DUI's, I think there is a little bit more than that hiding in his closet and no its not baby powder.

maybe its just me but 9:55 pm anonymous is not making any sense to me. what has that to do with a judge that has been caught drinking several times wanting to become a judge again? whats really a shame is he probably will get it again.

It should be a free country. If a person is qualified, they can run. But if a person is black and won't give their name when they are stopped by the law I hope they don't get locked up for over 200 days on the taxpayer's dime. Kind of reminds me of those hikers detained in Iran. I guess the moral would be if that is all they have done and they didn't run, then let em walk.

Good luck Buck, maybe there won't be so much "catch and release" when you get on the bench.
